Nelson Bustamante is a chilean footballer. In May of 2007, Bustamante was signed by Serie B club Brescia to a contract of five years at the young age of fourteen. The young chilean footballer previously made money on the streets of Chile performing various tricks for people. Bustamante tried out for chilean giants such as Colo-Colo and Universidad Católica but both teams denied him a chance because of his height. The chilean is less than five feet tall, which even at his age is short. However, his new club is going to invest over $300,000 in a physical program similar to the one argentinean footballer Lionel Messi was given when he started with FC Barcelona [1]. Messi was also extremely short when he arrived to the Catalan team at the young age of thirteen and because of this similarity, Bustamante was labeled "el neuvo Messi chileno" (translates to the "New chilean Messi") by media in Chile. His nickname in the streets was "Maradona." Former footballer Frank Lobos is the players representative[2].
