Nellie Dingle (née Lynch) was a fictional character on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. She was first played by Sandra Gough then Maggie Tagney when the character returned to the village for her son Butch's funeral in 2000.
On January 30, 2008, Nellie's Ex-husband Zak phoned her to ask if their son Sam had turned up at her place in Ireland after he had taken Samson and fled the village.
