New landscaping plans, including tree planting and green space, will be implemented during 2005. Playground areas for children and basketball courts for youth are also located with this neighborhood. This neighborhood is within walking distance of the East Athens Community Center, Neighborhood Health Center, Athens-Clarke County Health Department, and Triangle Park. The East Athens Community Center runs football, basketball and cheerleading teams and provides numerous recreational activities including swimming.
