Nelaug

Nelaug is a village in the south of the Åmli municipality in Aust-Agder, Norway. The population in 2005 was 158. The village lies east of the Nelaug lake, which is regulated by a hydro-electric power plant. The most notable feature in the village is the railway station, Nelaug Station, which is the junction between the Sørlandsbanen main line and the Arendalsbanen branch line. Nelaug Skule, a 1st to 6th grade elementary school, and one of the three schools of the Åmli municipality, is located in Nelaug.
