The NEL (Norddeutsche Erdgas Leitung) is a370|km|mi|-1 long planned natural gas pipeline in Germany, which will connect the planned Nord Stream pipeline with the with the Rehden-Hamburg gas pipeline. It will run from Greifswald to Achim near Rehden. Together with the MIDAL pipeline it will create a Greifswald-Bunde connection. The pipeline will be under the responsibility and ownership of E.ON Ruhrgas and Wingas, a joint venture of Wintershall and Gazprom. The diameter of pipeline will be 1,200 millimetres (47 in).[1]
