You are welcome to leave messages here. When adding comments, please create a new section and add the comments to the bottom of this page. I will reply here (rather than on, say, your user page). Conversely, if I've left a message on your talk page, I've added it to my watchlist, so please reply there.
If your messages are rude, wandering or repetitive I will likely edit or delete them. If you want to leave such a message, put it on your talk page and leave me a note here & I'll go take a look.
In general, I prefer to conduct my discussions in public. If you have a question for me, put it here (or on the article talk, or...) rather than via email. If you still prefer to send an email, use the link on my main user page. Sending me an email indicates your permission for me to publicly reveal the contents of that email without exception.
As time goes on, I will migrate our conversations to /Archive1 if we're no longer discussing a current issue.

You beat me to it by a few seconds - good catch! I couldn't tell if you're an admin or not, so I have taken the liberty of placing a warning on Endora1972's talk page as I am an administrator. If you are an admin, I beg pardon for leap-frogging you. 23skidoo (talk) 03:49, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, I'm not an admin, but I don't need to be an admin to leave talk page warnings. I didn't think one was needed as it was the user's first (and only) edit and easily could have been a mistake or just a test edit. It didn't seem malicious in nature to me. - Ah, as it turns out, it was a vandalism account after all... Neil916 (Talk) 07:46, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Um I'm pretty sure C. reinhardtii is a protist. Research it yourself. Theres plenty of sources that say so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.238.50.7 (talk) 05:14, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I think your fix did the trick actually; you just needed to purge (unless I missed something). — Edokter • Talk • 16:34, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Neil916 (Talk) 16:36, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Capitalization and lack thereof
That sure is confusing, since I jump around through all of the kingdoms. I'll try to keep it straight. BTW, you seem to be senior to me in editing life articles, so would you mind checking this and making sure I'm on track? Thanks, Bob the Wikipedian (talk) 16:01, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'm certainly not senior to anybody, but that never stopped me from chiming in with my opinion on something... If I'm understanding your question right, you're asking whether or not it would be appropriate to include, say, a subphyllum field on an article about a goldfish, then no, I think that general consensus is that such information would add unneeded clutter to a taxobox that already contains a lot of information. Since each of the ranks are wikilinked, a user can (and does, if I'm any gauge) click on the higher taxa to learn about those and that would be the appropriate place to discuss minor ranks. [edit] Thank you for the barnstar
And for the kind words - they were very much appreciated. Always good to hear from a fellow Neil! Best, Neıl 龱 23:17, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
