[edit] Add all neighborhoods?

I think I'd like to add all of the neighborhoods listed at [1] to this template, even if they don't yet have an article, to encourage people to create articles for the missing neighborhoods (and to catch new neighborhoods as they are created). What does every one else think? Orayzio 21:24, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

iirc, there is some controversy among many editors about doing that. Those who favor it agree with you that it does encourage people to create the articles. On the other hand, a number of editors do not like it, saying that it is a waste of page space. A template with too many red links might find its way onto CFD. Probably the best solution is to actually create all of the pages, just by making a brief one paragraph stub like Crocker Highlands, Oakland, California. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 23:50, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

I believe this list [2] of neighborhoods is more current than the link above. PQMark 12:51, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

You might start off by filling an article named List of neighborhoods of San Diego, California. Redlinks don't matter as much in lists. BlankVerse 15:10, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Great idea. I just started the page. PQMark 17:19, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mission Valley

It is in eastern and western. there should only be on listing, not two. where should we put it? -ChristopherMannMcKay 18:39, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

there should only be on listing
Why? Why should listing in the western area have more priority over listing it in the east? How is this different, per se, than listing Cleveland twice on Template:USpresidents. Probably its better to go with what the official source says. [3] Zzyzx11 (Talk) 06:12, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Maybe they should be renamed instead. According SanDiego.gov there should be two seperate listings, Mission Valley East and Mission Valley West. -ChristopherMannMcKay 01:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
