[edit] RE: Merger
Oppose The Neighborhoods of Omaha, Nebraska article is a work-in-progress, as I've been paragraph-izing it. That will make List of neighborhoods in Omaha, Nebraska a uniquely purposeful list, not redundant of this. - Freechild 14:58, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

- I have finished cleaning the Neighborhoods of Omaha, Nebraska article, and will work on populating the List of neighborhoods in Omaha, Nebraska article. The two now clearly serve two different purposes, and if no one speaks against me doing so, I would like to remove the merger tag in two weeks (6/8/07). - Freechild 15:34, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I like having two separate articles. It seems to me you could give a brief description of the neighborhood in the list article with the general overview at the beginning. But I could be convinced to leave it as is. DandyDan2007 22:05, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] map?
Map, please! A picture is worth a thousand words, and would be an invaluable aid in understanding where these neighborhoods are within the city. ⇔ ChristTrekker 22:20, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Area boundries
72nd might be the traditional boundry for West Omaha, but the recent expansions west make this view outdated. District 66 (Westgate/Westside) shares more characteristics with midtown than it does the newer subdivisions west of it. Nice or in evil (talk) 17:35, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Neighborhoods
Several of the neighborhoods listed aren't neighborhoods in Omaha. Ralston, La Vistia, and Pappillion, and Boys Town are all in the Omaha Metro, but all of them are separate towns/cities. State law blocks Omaha from expanding accross county lines leaving LaVistia and Pappillion (along with Bellview) untouched. Ralston remains separate under a gentleman's agreement.
