[1] Its doctrine is based on Methodism, a type of Protestant Christianity.
[edit] History
In 1976 the Reverend Neil Thomas and the Reverend Tom Griffiths founded NTM College with eleven students in Canberra (the Australian Capital Territory of Australia).
[edit] Missions
As of 2007, NTM has missions in India, Pakistan and Tibet together with other nations in Africa and Oceania such as New Caledonia, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Vanuatu. [2]
It should not be confused with the US missionary organisation New Tribes Mission (which is also abbreviated to "NTM")

NMT also operates both radio and TV stations that are available online.
[edit] Tolerance of local customs
NTM is relatively tolerant of local cultural practices, as is evidenced in Vanuatu.[3]
