Neil Nicholas Mitchell (born November 7, 1974 in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire) is an English former professional footballer.
Mitchell, a central midfielder, began his career as a trainee with Blackpool in 1991. He remained at Bloomfield Road for five years, making 67 league appearances and scoring eight goals.
In 1996, after loan spells at Rochdale and Southport, he signed for Sammy McIlroy's Macclesfield Town.
After playing just five games for Macclesfield in two years, Mitchell moved back to the Lancashire coast with Morecambe.
Mitchell also went on to play for Chorley.
For the 2007-08 season, Mitchell is playing as a striker for Blackpool amateur club Bloomfield Vets. Ex-Blackpool teammate Andy Gouck also plays for the Vets, who are managed by Gouck's father, Duncan.[1]
