Neil Gunter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Neil Gunter (born May 12, 1981) is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
Gunter has proven to be a source of great belief in the short-form game, as it has been proved that giving him more overs to bowl means that he is more likely to let many runs through. Though his Derbyshire team had hardly had great fortunes without him in the team, they concluded that playing him would merely sabotage their chances of progressing in the championship, where unlimited over play was crucial to the team's success.
Gunter was released from his duties in 2004, when even his bowling in the Second XI was becoming difficult for his team-mates to work with, and has since joined minor-counties outfit Berkshire.
