[edit] Politics

He has dabbled in politics; he was a self-nominated United States Democratic Party candidate for governor of New York State, but did not win the election.

According to his campaign site, he is running on a platform that includes heavily taxing the wealthy to keep social security afloat, busting the New York State Office of Professions, investigating the New York State Human Rights Division, protecting civil rights, and protecting rights to sue doctors. [1]

[edit] Science

He claims to have done some amateur work in the fields of physics and biotechnology [2], despite not having any formal education in these fields, or evidence of having done so. A press release from Vulvox claims to have developed some method of manufacturing DNA and RNA[3], but provides no details on the supposed process, and mentions no articles published in any scientific journal to support this claim. This press release also claims another company -Telomolecular Corporation- have bred a "transgenic cow" which has

"...displayed a 50% reduction of the symptoms of aging!"[4]

This same press release has the following general information on Vulvox Nanobiotechnology:

"Vulvox Nanobiotechnology Corporation is a biotechnology, nanotechnology, and materials science company and a provider of contract research and development services to companies in those industries. Vulvox is also working on a novel means of liposomal delivery of drugs and gene therapy agents to tumors and to other specific locations in the body, and on finding new disease targets that can be treated with silencer RNA manufactured by its' proprietary process. Vulovx's materials science division is developing the world's hardest, toughest materials and a proprietary process to manufacture them using low cost powder injection technology. The first products expected will be arthroscopic surgical instruments, oil well drills, and satellite booms[5]."

He is described as "Dr. Neil Farbstein, PhD" in a securities registration by the company "Telomolecular Corporation" which claims he has had articles published in scientific journals, but provides no evidence of such articles, through links to web archives or references to the title and issue in which it was published.[6] He also claims to have worked in muon-catalyzed fusion[7].

There is no available evidence to support any of his claims[8]. Currently, he is petitioning the owners and moderators of the site Physorg.com to change his recently banned status back to that of an active member. [9]
