This image has been taken from a Indian Government owned archive.

[edit] Fair use in Constitution of India, Jawaharlal Nehru and Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties of India

I contest that, while this image might be under copyright by the above-named organisation, it can be used on Wikipedia under this fair use rationale.

  1. It is a historically significant photo of a famous individual which is non-reproducible;
  2. It is a low-resolution image which does not inhibit the photographer/institute/organisation's right to profit from it.
  3. The photo is used for informational purposes only.

I acknowledge that the aforementioned fair use laws do not transfer cleanly into those of other nations, and that US fair use law is subject to change. I understand that if it is decided this image is not being used under the appropriate fair use provisions, it will be deleted. --Andy123(talk) and Shreshth91 (talkcontribs) 15:26, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
