Negaativa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Negaativa is a female trio of Brazilian Portuguese rappers, Mary Juana, Jamille, and Filipe. In a funk scene dominated by their male counterparts Negaative does a great job holding their own. Their lyrical content covers a variety of topics, from the problem of racism in their homeland to the importance of condom use. The lyrical content in their music is a direct reflection of the oppressed life that they live as black lower class people in Brazil. Though, just as all of their Brazilian counterparts Negaativa’s lyrics are open for interpretation by all who listen to them.[1][2][3]
