Needle Through Thumb

The needle through thumb is the name of a trick which is meant to give the illusion that the magician is actually stabbing his own thumb using several sewing needles.

The performer shows his thumb to the audience showing that it is not simply a fake thumb. They then covers there thumb with a hanker-chief. They takes out a sewing needle, & shows it to the audience in order to prove that it is not fake. The magician slowly stabs the first needle into their thumb. The process continues until until the magician's thumb has so many needles that they cannot take it anymore. They take out the needles one by one, and then remove the hanker-chief, showing that the thumb has magically become healed.

The performer shows their thumb to the audience showing that it is not simply a fake thumb. But hidden inside the magician's hand is a carrot. As the magician puts the hankerchief over their hand they lift the carrot into their hand. It is the carrot that is being stabbed, but thanks to the hankerchief, the audience is led to believe that it is the magician's thumb. After the magician removes the needles, the magician secretly hides the carrot in his or her fist. The magician shows the unharmed thumb to the audience, and the trick is complete.
