The 2nd Nebraska Congressional District seat encompasses the core of the Omaha metropolitan area. It includes all of Douglas County, Nebraska and the urbanized areas of Sarpy County. It is currently held by Lee Terry, a Republican. George W. Bush received 61% of the vote in this district in 2004.
