Hello Neapolitan Sixth, and welcome to Wikipedia! We're really glad you've chosen to sign up for an account; it offers numerous benefits in case you weren't already aware of them.
Thankyou for your contributions if you've been editing before you got this message. [edit] Contributing
With these references at hand, we hope you find it easier to contribute to Wikipedia. Here's a brief synopsis of some ways you can:
- We obviously wouldn't have an encyclopedia without articles. This page shows how you can help them grow.
- Removing vandalism and keeping the integrity of articles intact is a great way of contributing. More information on how to do so can be found here.
- Fixing typos, correcting poor grammar and repairing broken links are just some examples of useful, behind the scenes contributions. Even just making things look nice makes using Wikipedia more pleasant for everybody.
- If you like working with images, you might be interested in the Graphic Lab. Similarly, this page shows you how to work with images in Wikipedia articles.
- This page lists the many types of tasks you can do to maintain Wikipedia.
- There are numerous WikiProjects that aim to provide coordination and collaboration on particular subjects. From this list, you can join a project and contribute within an area that interests you.
Of course, there are many ways of contributing, but I hope that this message is helpful to you, and that you'll enjoy editing Wikipedia and continue to do so. You can respond to this message by clicking here if you have a comment or need help - don't forget to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), or you can place {{helpme}}

[edit] FIBS
Just out of curiosity, if you don't think First Internet Backgammon Server should exist, why did you create a userfied version of it? --Steven J. Anderson (talk) 03:10, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Obama edit
Just as an FYI, I've reverted your change to Barack Obama declaring him the "presumptive nominee" for the Democratic Party candidate for US President. Even though it is currently unlikely that Clinton will actually win the nomination, it is possible as long as she doesn't drop out. Neither candidate will cross the 2025 (or whatever it currently is) threshold on pledged delegates alone, so it is up to the superdelegates to take them over the threshold. As has been shown by the superdelegates that have switched from Clinton to Obama, once a superdelegates "endorses" a candidate, there is nothing stopping them from switching from Obama to Clinton. At this point in time, it is best to stick with calling Obama just a candidate until which point that Clinton drops out, or the DNC determines he is the victor. --Bobblehead (rants) 21:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Self-imposed wikibreaks
There is actually a script which is very effective (so effective, in fact, that I couldn't get out of it even with admin help). See here. Just paste it in, change the date and time, and then do a full refresh of your browser (control-shift-R on Mozilla). Enigma message 02:58, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Please stop being so uncivil towards others. Thanks. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 19:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm removing the WP:TEMPLAR warning because you don't point out any actual vandalism, but I will take the civility warning under advisement. Neapolitan Sixth (talk) 20:09, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Erm, don't template the regulars; you've been here for less than a month. Also, you don't have to assume good faith in evidence of the opposite. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 20:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 20:31, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it was a picture of WJBScribe, and since it's a GFDL licensed picture its use in the article was legitimate. I'd take back all of the comments of you being even handed, but since I'm blocked I can't :-( Neapolitan Sixth (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- So it is. Changed. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 21:17, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
*shrug* I don't know about indef, but what exactly do you think you were adding to the discussion, there? Is a block really that surprising? – Luna Santin (talk) 21:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Not really. Typical Wikipedia knee-jerk reaction to "ZOMG ED TROLL!!!111!!" Neapolitan Sixth (talk) 13:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
