I like the style of the descriptions but have questions:
"Junior - a hulking, gormless, lantern-jawed..."
What does 'gormless' mean? Is it British slang, or a typo for 'formless'?
"Babs (a hideously ugly teenage girl with retainers on her teeth)"
All the Neat Stuff characters are drawn as grotesques of exaggerated expression, but in its world of grotesques Babs seems to be a normal-looking girl. She's not a wallflower, and later marries and has children.
I'd prefer these bits to be revised by their original author, as his style would be easy to spoil with clumsy phrasing, however accurate. AC 03:08, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
"Gormless" is British slang meaning extremely stupid. - TCR

- Thanks for the definition. The euphony of 'gormless' is OK, but again IS Junior extremely stupid? Not in the context of the strip -- he's a troubled sissy, but not outstandingly stupid, especially by the standards of Neat Stuff. Again, the style of the article is fun, but it's exagerrated like a Bagge cartoon. "Just the facts M'am"... AC 19:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
