The Neath Guardian is a local weekly newspaper distributed in Neath, South Wales, and the surrounding area. It is published weekly in the tabloid format by Media Wales (formerly Western Mail and Echo), part of the Trinity Mirror group.
The newspaper is split into two editions, Neath and Port Talbot. It also covers the nearby Afan, Dulais and Neath valleys, and is part of the Celtic Weekly Newspapers series, which publishes seven other weekly titles across south Wales.
[edit] Editions
The paper is split into two editions, the Neath Guardian and the Port Talbot Guardian, both published on a Wednesday.
Although the first five pages and the back sports page are unique to each edition, the remainder of the pages are generally identical for both editions.
In addition to Neath and Port Talbot, the two editions also cover the Afan, Dulais and Neath valleys, but not the Swansea Valley, even though parts of it are within the boundaries of Neath Port Talbot county borough.
