Ne daj se, Nina (Don't Give Up, Nina) is a Croatian television series, the remake of TV series Ugly Betty. The show started its making in 2007, and it had its premiere on October 30, 2007 in Serbia, on Fox televizija. However, the main creator of the series, RTL Televizija decided to screen the show in early 2008, in their new winter schedule. The show began to air on January 3, 2008., but after 12 episodes, which were screened in the 45 minute format, RTL Televizija decided to stop its soap opera "Zabranjena ljubav" and put "Ne daj se, Nina" in its time-slot. The show is airing on a daily basis, from Monday to Friday, and in a half hour format. The first season of this show was completed in 2008, but there were some speculations that the second season won't be filmed at all. The scenes are taking in Zagreb (Croatia), Belgrade (Serbia), Bosnia & Herzegovina and Macedonia.

H-Moda is a company directed by Victor Glowatzky, who plans to retire, and pass his business to his son, David. This news is bad for David's nemesis Petar Vidic, who is the main editor of H-Moda's magazine "Helena" along his lover Monika. He is also Barbara Vidic's brother, David's fiance.

Barbara decides to hire her friend, recently divorced, Patricija Vuckovic, who is pretty, but not so intelligent and capable for the job of David's secretary. [edit] Differences between Ugly Betty and Don't give up Nina

David Glowatzky is totaly like Daniel Meade the only difference is that David has fiance Barbara Vidic (this charachter is not present in Ugly Betty.) Marko Savic is David best friend and they talk about women all the time and there are prety cool. In Ugly Betty there isn't any character similar on Marko. Petar Vidic and Monica Savic in Ugly Betty are one person Whilmina. Whilmina's atidute is Monica's and her disare to be editor-in-chef is from Petar. Marc on the other hand in Ne daj se Nina is a fashion desinger named Alex his best friend is Monica. Patricija in Ugly Betty is Amanda and in Ne daj se Nina Patricija is very stupid and her desire is to be on Nina's place or we could say to be David assistant. Nina has three best friends: Sanja, Koraljka and Martina. Unlike Betty who has just Cristina. Sanja is the secretary, Koraljka is the recepcionist and Martina is chef in the company restorant. Nina lives with her parents Vlado and Mira unlike Betty who lives with her father, sister and nephew. Nina has only a little brother who went in Bosna to fashion course. David has father and mother and one real sister who is presumed dead.
