A little about me: an occasional proofreader, editor, writer, & typesetter who currently resides in Toronto (but hails from Halifax N.S.). Born in 1974. Current preoccupations:
- jazz — I've played jazz piano off & on since I was a teenager; since 2002 have been writing articles and reviews for various jazz journals and online sites. There's an archive of them here if you're curious.
- contemporary poetry — been on the backburner lately, but for many years ran a little mag called The Gig (currently on hiatus though there are a couple of things in the works). Proudest moment was working as annotator & advisor for Keith Tuma's Anthology of Twentieth-Century British and Irish Poetry (OUP, 2001).
- films — a more recent preoccupation, which means that I've been seeing a lot of things I missed when I was younger for the first time. A current member of the Cinematheque Ontario.
- Killer Sudoku — not a fan of the regular kind, but this variant is one I find appealing.
Most of my contributions to Wikipedia are on these topics. I don't usually originate articles, just try to finesse the ones that already exist.... however, see the next bit...
