Ndejje University

Ndejje University is a private Christian university in Uganda, first established in 1992. It was registered by the government in 1998. Since 2002 it has been owned by the six dioceses of the Church of Uganda in the Buganda region.

The University has three campuses: one in Kampala, and two at Ndejje Hill, Luwero District, in the countryside 42 kilometers north of Kampala.

Ndejje University pioneered the private university education in Uganda and is currently among the leading privately run Universities, licensed by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs that are fully recognized nationally and internationally. This is facilitated through modest class enrolment, maintaining high ethical standards in the University community. The University began humbly with demand-driven courses in Education and Business Education disciplines offered on full-time basis. However, in the bid to accommodate the growing demands of the working class, the University recently introduced a Flexible Learning System by including evening, weekend and the In-Service (school holiday) programs to enable the working class acquire university education without having either to resign or take study leave.Ndejje University has three campuses: The Kampala Campus in the urban setting, at Plot 151, Balintuma Road, just below Mengo Hospital, Kampala. It is ideal for the working class in and around Kampala. The second and third Campuses (The Main and Lady Irene) are located on 200 acres of land, in a rural setting at Ndejje Hill, Luweero District. This is 42 kilometers (26 miles) north of Kampala - ideal for quiet and serious study activities.
