[edit] License tagging for Image:Ecoecolfigure1.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Ecoecolfigure1.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I noticed that some of your uploaded images are not marked with copyright tags. To make sure that these images are not automatically deleted, please put the appropriate tag on each image description page.

[edit] Coarse woody debris

A page you created has been moved to User:Ncycling/Coarse woody debris: structure and function. There were concerns that this article appears to be written in the style of a journal article, rather than an encyclopedia article. In particular, it has a conclusions section and an introduction, while encyclopedia articles have a lead section and no conclusions section, because drawing conclusions is considered original research which Wikipedia does not publish. Also, there is already a page on Coarse woody debris.

I invite you to integrate your material into the existing article, taking care to write it in the style of an encyclopedia article. — Carl (CBM · talk) 21:36, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

I have deleted the page, as it isn't appropriate to store it in user space indefinitely. The source is not lost, however, and I will be glad to give you a copy of it upon request. I hope you will return to merge it onto the main article. — Carl (CBM · talk) 23:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
