  • Since its inception in 1997, 213 overtime games have been played
  • Missouri, and Ole Miss have played the most overtimes at 11 games each.
  • Michigan, and Nebraska have the best record of any teams in overtime games(5-0).
  • A record 39 overtime games were played in 2005.
  • A record 12 multi-overtime games were played in 2006.
  • Three games have been played that went to seven overtimes. Arkansas won two of them -- over Ole Miss in 2001 and over Kentucky in 2003. North Texas also defeated Florida International in 2006 in seven overtimes.
  • Only 21 times in NCAA history, has a team played in back-to-back overtime games.
