[edit] RE: General note: Vandalism on Wikipedia:Sandbox. (TW)

Sir - this is in reply to the confounding message you left on my talk page. On 08:03, 14 June 2008, I added a Wikimedia rendering of Goatse to the WP:Sandbox. This is pursuant with the Sandbox policy of a page that "allows you to carry out experiments." However, in the message you placed on my talk page, you requested I "use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make." My original edit was satisfactory per this request as it was performed in the sandbox. Please refrain from blindly using automated tools such as Twinkle if you cannot use them reasonably. --76.26.252.42 (talk) 08:18, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Goatse can reasonably be considered offensive, an, as there is no value added to the encyclopedia by a rendering of goatse in the sandbox, it is considered vandalism. Nburden (T) 08:20, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes, that applies to other pages on the encylopedia, however: "The Sandbox was created as a place with fewer rules and policies than other pages on Wikipedia. For example, you don't have to follow the Manual of Style or reach community consensus before making a major change." (Wikipedia:About_the_Sandbox) Edits are not held to standards of "value added to the encyclopedia." It is fairly clear per Wikipedian policy that it is impossible to vandalize the sandbox. I am therefore requesting you remove the vandalism statement from my talk page. --76.26.252.42 (talk) 08:34, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Please read the header at WP:SB, specifically: "Please do not place copyrighted, offensive, or libelous content in the sandbox(es)." Nburden (T) 08:36, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
