[edit] About the school

[edit] History

Nawaminthrachinuthit Bodindecha School (โรงเรียนนวมินทราชินูทิศ บดินทรเดชา - Thai)is one of the nine schools founded to honour Her Majesty the Queen on her sixtieth anniversary. It was founded on July 31st, 1992. At the beginning, the schoolwas in the charge of Khunying Lakkana Saengsanit (คุณหญิงลักขณา แสงสนิท), the director of Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School (โรงเรียนบดินทรเดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี)) at the time. The name of school consists of two parts : 'Nawaminthrachinuthit' and 'Bodindecha'. Nawaminthrachinuthit means devotion to the queen of the 9th King and Bodindecha is the name of Chao Phraya Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) (เจ้าพระยาบดินทรเดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี), the previous great Army General of King Rama III of the Chakri Dynasty (พระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว). Therefore, one of the school major polocies is to promote fellowship and love of the country, religion and the monarchy to the Democratic System. Thus everyone of us takes pride of being a member of this dignified school and so we all behave ourselves well to deserve to be part of it.

Up to the present time, the school has gained its reputation from the public and was awarded mant prizes, both the school itself and its students and teachers. It was awarded 'The outstanding secondary School' by the department of General Education in 1996, only 4 years after it was founded. In addition, to improve the school to be internationally standardized, our first director, Mr. Amornrat Pin-ngern(นายอมรรัตน์ ปิ่นเงิน), initiated a plan to use the ISO 9002 standard quality system in the school administration. Later the school under the administration of Mr.Palongyooy Indhapan, the second director, succeeded in getting the ISO 9002 certification in February,1999.
