Nawabganj is located at 23.6667° N 90.1667° E . It has 47411 units of house hold and total area 244.81 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Nawabganj has a population of 269189. Males constitute are 49.31% of the population, and females 50.69%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 134813. Nawabganj has an average literacy rate of 34.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]

Nawabganj's people are social and cultural. The Hindu, Muslim and Cristian communities are living together and peacefully. Large portion of adult male population stay in abroad. so it's a good place.most of the people are innocent.
