This template is designed to make an easy external link to a ship’s page at Navsource.com

[edit] Formal usage

  • {{navsource|URLcode|Shipname}} where URLcode is extracted from the URL (see below) and Shipname is the name of the ship (italics are added.)

To obtain the URLcode parameter value:

Find the Navsource.com URL.
The url for the Navsource page for USS Houston (CL-81) is http://www.navsource.org/archives/04/081/04081.htm
The parameter value is the part of the URL from after "archives/" to ".htm"
In this example you would use "04/081/04081"
