[edit] Note

This page was begun in order to list some of the ship seals adopted by the US Navy. Please feel free to add further items. Hope that this page can serve in some way as a tribute to the accomplishments of the US Navy. thanks for visiting this article.

Before adding to this article, please see the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ships#US_Navy_Ship_Seals. Thanks. Jinian 13:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Please note, most of the concerns in the discussion which Jinian refers to above have now been addressed. However, you may of course feel free to view the discussion. Thanks. --Sm8900 13:46, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] whoops [poss?]

did I just overwrite anyone's edits? I was viewing a previous version, and then made some edits. i sure hope I made the changes to the current version. apolgies if i somehow went awry. i think i would have gotten a warning message, if I had somehow made such an error? anyway, hope all's well. thanks. --Sm8900 19:48, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Plagiarism

I just removed a large chunk of the article, which was a "cut and paste" copy from this page. There looks to be some useful content there, but it needs to be rewritten. Walkerma 15:46, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

For this reason, and the fact that the article seems quite incomplete, it won't be included on the Version 0.7 DVD at this time. If it is greatly improved over the summer, please renominate it. Walkerma 15:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Quebec.jpg

Image:Quebec.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
