Were you exposed to Toxic Incinerator at NAF Atsugi?
Visit www.atsugi-incinerator-group.com for information on the Jinkampo/Shinkampo or SIC (Shinkampo Incinerator Complex) Naval Air Facility Atsugi Japan - Kanagawa Prefecture near Ayase City Japan.
The incinerator was built in the 1980’s and shut down in 2001 - The Navy has conducted at least three air quality studies; 1991, 1994, 1997. Two screening health risk assessments were done with data collected in 1994 and 1997 to study the possible health effects from exposure to air pollutants at NAF Atsugi. As of this post, the US Navy's Human Health Risk Assessment of the Naval Air Facility at Atsugi, Japan has NOT been release to the public. I have requested this document and am waiting for the information at this time.
We were stationed at NAF Atsugi 95-98. Recently my husband, at 41, developed kidney cancer this year, also, each person in my family has strange medical problems. So I started research on the incinerator that was right outside the housing area of NAF Atsugi. I have spent hundreds of hours researching this topic. Also, I have written many Freedom of Information Act letters to the US Department of Justice, EPA and the NEHC in pursuit of information.
I am trying to get in touch with families who have had or are having medical problems and think the toxic waste that we were exposed to is the culprit.
All reports state that the levels of carcinogenic dioxin were dangerously high!!
