The T444E is a Diesel V8 engine manufactured by Navistar International Corporation. It was used by Ford Motor Company, branded the Ford Power Stroke engine, from 1994 through 2003, replacing an earlier 7.3 L indirect-injection V8 from Navistar. It was replaced in 2003.5 (After December 31st 2002) by the 6.0 L VT365.
The T444E used a 104.3 mm bore and 106.1 mm stroke. Power output was 275 hp (205 kW) at 2800 rpm and 520 ft·lbf (705 Nm) at 1600 rpm. International built nearly 2 million 7.3 L Power Stroke V8s for Ford at their Indianapolis, Indiana plant before switching to the 6.0.
