Navico is a marine electronics company founded in 2006 by Altor Equity Partners, a Norwegian private equity firm. Navico serves as a parent company to its brands.[2]

Navico was founded in 2006 with the merger of Simrad Yachting, and Lowrance Electronics.[3] The acquisition of Brunswick Corporation's marine electronics department was completed in March 2007.[2] Navico's headquarter is located in Norway near Oslo, but the company retains offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Acton, Massachusetts, Romsey, Hampshire, Støvring, Denmark, Ensenada, and Auckland, New Zealand among others.

Navico currently holds seven brands. These include: Lowrance Electronics, Simrad Yachting AS, Brookes & Gatehouse, Navman, Northstar, MX Marine, and Eagle Sonar.[4]
