Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is municipal organisation of Mumbai's satellite town Navi Mumbai (formerly New Bombay). On December 17, 1991 NMMC was constituted by the State Government for catering to the requirements of 29 villages in CIDCO Navi Mumbai project and 15 villages from Kalyan. The local self-government started functioning from 1st January 1992. NMMC administers an area of 162 square km.
