Nauticalia

Nauticalia is a retail company that specialise in the sale of nautically themed products and memorabilia, and navigation products. It was founded in 1978 in a converted rubbish barge on the River Thames at Shepperton as a floating marine antiques shop. There are now shops across the UK including Canterbury, Lymington, Portsmouth, Greenwich, Covent Garden, Chester and Liverpool. There is also a shop in Victoria, Australia.


Nauticalia are one of many nautical or sailing related companies who display their products and services at the London Boat Show. The Boat Show is held on a yearly basis in ExCeL, the international exhibition and conference centre in London.


World exports account for a quarter of sales for Nauticalia and the company was a recipient of the Queen's Award for Export Achievement in 1998, which is associated with the Queen's Award for Enterprise. This award is given to companies who have achieved:

"substantial and sustained increase in export earnings to a level which is outstanding for the products or services concerned and for the size of the applicant unit's operations."

Nauticalia are perhaps most famous for selling replica ships cats out of REAL Fur
