This is a low-resolution image of Rudyard Kipling's house, "The Naulaka," as it looks today. The copyright is owned by The Landmark Trust USA is a tax-exempt nonprofit that rescues historic properties in distress. This image is being uploaded for use in the articles Rudyard Kipling and Naulaka (house) (now on the National Historic Register, USA). The image was downloaded from their web site[1].

Although this image, Naulakha_fall.jpg, may be subject to copyright, I (Sanjay Tiwari 19:16, 28 September 2006 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  1. it will be used in only two Wikipedia articles, both relevant to the image. These are:
    1. Rudyard Kipling (Kipling built the house and lived in it from 1892-1897) and wrote the Jungle Books, Kim, and Captains Courageous, while there.
    2. Naulakha (house) about the house itself, which is a historic house and has been on the National Register of Historic Places (USA) since 1993.
  2. images of the house are not available in the public domain
  3. it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the image in any way;
