[edit] Speedy deletion of PrefixNE

A tag has been placed on PrefixNE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nathan, you're likely sick of our rules and processes by now!

"Speedy deletion" is the rapid deletion of an article with little discussion in cases where the need for deletion seems black and white. That's where we use {{hangon}} tags.

I contested your article's speedy deletion because your case was not black and white. Another editor thinks it still needs deletion, so he's nominated it for our slower, more deliberative "Articles for deletion" process. It's sort of like summary execution vs. trial by jury. In any event, you don't use {{hangon}} tags -- you just go to the discussion link above and join in the discussion. --A. B. ^(talk) 16:50, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PrefixNE, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment.
