[edit] Nature's skill
June to September 16
"The evolution of life continues into the future... until the greatest of all time mass extinction happens, an extinction event even greater than the Permian-Triassic extinction, somewhere in the future... Will the water bear survive? It is up to Nature to solve the evolution of life and Nature decides whether to stop or continue the evolution of life... It is Nature's choice... (to me, it as if though evolution is one of Nature's skills, besides the well-known Nature's Natural disasters, like hurricanes, solar radiation and so forth)." User:Moon&Nature
[edit] Your life
September 17 - 23
"If you want to control your life, control it. Life is life. You are what you are. If someone is controlling you, don't let them. There so many paths to follow before your life is spent. Do not waste your time, for there are more good things to come. Choose any path, choose wisely though. Until your road of life has come to a dead end, death follows. Don't let death fear you, it is part of life, learn to accept it and you die in peace. Death is death, every organism, matter, humanity, and even the universe must come to an end. Thank you." -M&NCenarius
[edit] Dinosaurs
September 24 - 30
Dinosaurs are vertebrates that have ranged from reptile-like to bird-like. Dinosaurs dominated the terrestrial ecosystem for over 160 million years from around 230 million years ago until 65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period, when all non-avian dinosaurs became extinct. Knowledge about dinosaurs comes from both fossil and non-fossil records, including fossilized bones, feces, trackways, gastroliths, feathers, impressions of skin, internal organs and soft tissues. Dinosaur remains have been found on every continent on Earth, including Antarctica, showing that all land masses were at one time connected in a supercontinent called Pangaea. The ongoing dinosaur renaissance began in the 1970s and was triggered, in part, by John Ostrom's discovery of Deinonychus, an active, vicious predator that may have been warm-blooded (homeothermic), in contrast to the prevailing image of dinosaurs as sluggish and cold-blooded. Vertebrate paleontology has also become a global science, with major new discoveries in previously unexploited regions, most significantly the amazingly well-preserved feathered dinosaurs in China, which have further solidified the link between dinosaurs and their living descendants, modern birds.

[edit] Starcaft
October 1 - 7
StarCraft is a real-time strategy computer game by Blizzard Entertainment. Introduced in 1998, it was the best-selling computer game in that year and won the Origins Award for Best Strategy Computer Game of 1998. It is praised for being a benchmark of real-time strategy (RTS) games, due to its depth, intensity, and game balance. Blizzard estimated in 2005 that 9 million copies of StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War had been sold since its release, and it has achieved an international cult-like status in the computer gaming world, especially in its online multiplayer form. Set in a "space opera" environment, StarCraft is broadly similar to Blizzard's popular high fantasy RTS Warcraft II, but during the development process, there were great efforts to steer the game away from being simply "Warcraft in Space," and eventually the entire game engine was rewritten to achieve the desired result.

[edit] Moose
October 8 - 14
Moose, or Alces alces, or the elk in Europe is the largest member of the deer family Cervidae, distinguished from other members of Cervidae by the form of the palmate antlers of its males. Moose are typical of boreal and mixed deciduous forests of the Northern Hemisphere in temperate to subarctic climates. In North America, that includes almost all of Canada, Alaska, much of New England, and the upper Rockies. The male moose's antlers arise as cylindrical beams projecting on each side at right angles to the middle line of the skull, which after a short distance divide in a fork-like manner. The lower prong of this fork may be either simple, or divided into two or three tines, with some flattening. Although moose are generally timid, the males become very bold during the autumn breeding season; it is not uncommon for them to charge at moving trains. The females utter a loud call, similar to the lowing of cattle, which can be heard from up to 3 km away. During breeding (the rut), males will compete for females by fighting with their antlers and hoofs and by fierce clashing of antlers. As well as bellowing, the female moose emits a strong, odoriferous pheromone in order to attract a mate. She also secretes pheromones in her urine which lets the males know that she is in estrus. Females may begin to breed at 2, but more usually 3, years of age. A female moose. The female gives birth to one or (occasionally) two calves at a time, in spring. The gestation period for a moose is about 216-240 days. Moose calves grow very quickly, nourished by their mother's milk, which is very high in fat and other nutrients.

[edit] Atheism
October 15 - 21
Atheism is the absence of belief in a deity or deities. The opposite of theism, this broad definition encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically include only those who assert the nonexistence of gods, excluding non-believing agnostics and other non-theists. Atheism is known to be more common in Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, former and present Communist states, and to a lesser extent, the United States. A 1995 survey attributed to the Encyclopædia Britannica indicates that the non-religious make up about 14.7% of the world's population, and atheists around 3.8%. Some atheists have found social, psychological, practical, and other personal reasons for their beliefs. Some believe that it is more conducive to living well, or that it is more ethical and has more utility than theism. Such atheists hold that searching for explanations in natural science is more beneficial than doing it through supernatural means.

[edit] Torturous Religion
October 22 - 28
"Many atheists, agnostics, and others see religion as a promoter of fear and conformity, causing people to adhere to it to shake the guilt and fear of either being looked down upon by others, or some form of punishment as outlined in the religious doctrines (e.g. Hell). In this way, religion can be seen as promotional of people pushing guilt onto others, or becoming fanatical (i.e. doing things they otherwise wouldn't if they were non-religious), in order to shed their own guilt and fear ultimately generated by the religion itself". -Neural
