[edit] Removed From Original
I took out a bit that looked pretty bias, but I thought I'd place it here if someone had a big problem with that. I think it's pretty clear, but here's the blurb:
It can't be said for sure, but if this conflict between the NWA parties and the AWA parties escalates any farther, then the NWA vs AWA war could make the WWF vs WCW war seems like a simple debate.

- How is it bias?
-
- I don't feel that there is bias, but the comment is more of an opinion than a fact.

[edit] NWA promoters plotting to Kill Vince McMahon Jr.
On the Vince McMahon talk page, it says that NWA promoters plotted to kill vince around the same time he took over the company now known as the WWE. Should i Put this in the article? K-man-1 11:27, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes
- No! It's untrue! - NickSentowski 17:43, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Needs to be deleted, unless it can be citated. THis is an encyclopedia not a rumour site.--Unopeneddoor 01:51, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NWA Bylaws
- Does anyone know where we can get an official copy of NWA's current bylaws? I've been looking for them for a long time and can't seem to find them on the net. I think it'd be great to have them on Wikipedia! - NickSentowski 16:23, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do these actually exist on anything other than an ad hoc basis nowadays?--Geoff K. 04:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] NWA Today
I've cleaned up the paragraphs describing the present situation. Fixed a spelling error and removed this sentence:
"They criticize what Mr. Todd and the AWA President, Mr. Dale R. "Gagne" Gagner have been up to."
To what does this refer? The new AWA running shows in Winnipeg? Sounds like POV to me. Also deleted a section below that talks about controversy on the message board- really, worth noting in brief, but rather tangential to the article overall.
Also adding a clarification that the NWA continues to recognise TNA Champions and jurisdiction on its site. --Geoff K. 04:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] updates
As you man have seen there have been some updates to this page - I expanded explanation of the territory concept and what the benefits of membership was, I reordered a few sections to give it history first, then details about federations that left. I also made the "NWA Territories" section less "Listy" to make it more of an encylopedic article. I dunno how it's possible to turn the titles into something *NOT* listy unless we create a category for NWA National & Regional titles and just link to it, I'd say the list is big enough to warrant it. I hope the edits are acceptable MPJ-DK 00:08, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- I like them. I took the liberty of cleaning up the grammar and punctuation. I feel like we need to mention that the NWA was investigated by the US Justice Department for its business practices. Where should that section go, do you think? - Geoffg 08:13, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- I got no problems with the edits, I'm Danish so while I am very good at English I don't always get the grammar and punctuation right so thanks for the help I appriciate it. I didn't know it was investigated, when was this? MPJ-DK 10:58, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- In the 1950s, and possibly other times. I got that from the book Chokehold by Jim Wilson, which purports to expose the "dark underside" of professional wrestling. Apparently, the NWA was under investigation since their practice of monopolizing the industry, and driving all competitors out of business was illegal. Also, they seemed to have an illegal salary cap, since the rule was that no one could earn more than the champion, and the champion was hand-picked by the Board of Directors. - Geoffg 02:54, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
"However, due to TNA not reporting to the NWA about title changes in accordance to NWA bylaws, TNA and NWA worked out a split and the titles were returned to the NWA on May 13, 2007" ... Where can I find documentation/citation for that, as TNA Wrestling won't officially comment on why they stopped using the NWA titles. Paleridernightwolf 14:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Television Coverage
I watched the youtube video in the article about how NWA has received a Television slot to air in again, just wondering if they are scheduled to air in the UK? --SteelersFan UK06 04:13, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Map of the Territories
That map of the teritories really needs to be put back in. There was no good reason to remove it. Whoever removed it should have just put the source down instead. It was a handy image that showed factually how the territories were aligned at the time. Heck, I would consider the removal vandalism and may just restore it myself.
Hmmm . . .
Actually, it seems I can't undo it due to a lack of knowledge as to how to format on the site and such, so someone else will need to repair it. How anyone can think the image did not belong in there boggled my mind, it was a graphical representation of the territories and useful for gathering information as I have been trying to do. So please, someone repair this vandalism.
For whoever wants it, here is the source for the image and the image itself:

This is definitely a valid source, so there you have it.

[edit] Ric flair show the NWA title on Raw
can that be put on —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supermike (talk • contribs) 16:48, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NWA working with the WWF
In 1998, the NWA worked with the WWF. During that time, Double J was the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship and defended the belt on RAW. He was backed by the RNR Express and James E. That should also be noted. --Endless Dan 12:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] History vs. History of the territories
The two history sections (History and History of the territories) should be merged together into one overall history, IMO, as they repeat a lot of the same info. Thoughts? Nikki311 19:39, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. Any territory-specific history should be fully described on that territory's own page, and only mentioned here if it is a significant part of the overall history of the Alliance. For example, this page should mention which territories presidents and powerful promoters came from, as well as territories that split and were rivals of the NWA. This page does these things, but not in a well-organized way. - Geoffg (talk) 04:59, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
