Has this been copied straight from the NTUC pages or what? Historical background on how NTUC was emasculated by LKY & co and is now used to enforce that Singapore's unions are powerless is sorely needed... Jpatokal 07:25, 5 August 2005 (UTC)

I think a lot of it has been dragged straight from the pages, sadly. It would be nice to discuss the political appointments that have toned down the militancy somewhat of the NTUC.. Cheers, Hauser 15:02, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

This really reads like an ad. We need concrete, unbiased, neutral information (which is actually coherent and easily digestable) here, as per Wikipedia guidelines. In fact, other than being a pain to read, I'd say this article provides no useful information whatsoever on NTUC, except on how it (ideally, and idealistically) operates. We need facts, facts, facts. Even a small list of its leadership is better than this whole block of copy-pasted nonsense.

[edit] rework

I cut quite a bit out of this page. Things like the role of the Branch Committee are pretty standard, and could be better fitted into a general article about the structure of trade unions. Other stuff, like "Indeed, tripartism between workers, the government and employers is the driving force behind Singapore's economic and social development." just had to go. I also added some history about the close relationship between the PAP and the NTUC.--Bookandcoffee 22:47, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ntuclogo.gif

Image:Ntuclogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
