[edit] Alleged High Levels of Corruption

I removed a paragraph that read "one of the most corrupt agencies in the Philippines" or something to that effect, for two reasons: 1) it was a loaded statement, not in keeping with what would be appropriate for encyclopedic content; and 2) it was not supported by any data.

Perhaps the person who wrote that paragraph might find statistical data to support his statement that the NBI is perceived to be one of the most corrupt agencies in the Philippines? Or if there are accurate measures of actual corrupt practices, that would be much better data. At the moment, I have no idea how to acquire that data myself, unfortunately.

If Filipinos want to improve the way things are done in the Philippines, we (I am proudly Pinoy!) must first learn to support our arguments properly. :-) Otherwise, none of us will ever reach an agreement and our body politic will never mature.

[edit] Organizational Structure

Er... I was hoping to find information here about the organizational structure and Standard Operational Procedures of the NBI? And also, the various agencies whose mandate might overlap with it? I need it for a screenplay I'm working on. :-) 124.217.64.112 16:56, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page should be called National Bureau of Investigation (Philippines)

There are other countries that also have "National Bureau of Investigation", so this page should be called "National Bureau of Investigation (Philippines)" as the content is only about NBI in Philippines.

Other pages this article links to have allready been named like that. Example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_Justice_(Philippines)

As an example of other NBI, Finlands Police also has one: [1] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tommis (talk • contribs) 08:42, 6 Aug 2006 (UTC).

Another NBI example is: [2] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.23.250.41 (talk) 12:17, 10 Oct 2006 (UTC)

Add Ukraine's NBI to the list. — Alex (T|C|E) 00:41, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nbilogo1.gif

Image:Nbilogo1.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] No citations...

This article lacks it, not to mention that the history part is directly copied from it. If nothing is done, I'll soon remove it unless someone can fix it ASAP. Ominae (talk) 08:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
