[edit] The domination factor
Although this is somewhat mentioned in the "conspiracy theories" section, I believe a very underrated, probably the greatest, reason for the decline in the league's popularity is how the fans have now learned that teams with one or two extremely talented superstars maybe in line for a litter of championships. They find it disappointing to know that Bill Russell and the Celtics won 8 championships in the '60s and to see this domination trend continue, with a brief pause in the '70s when the ABA was in existence, to this day where Shaq and Duncan have won numerous championships A.J. (after Jordan). In contrast, many people feel that college basketball maybe the epitome of parity in the 6 men's team sports so focused in the United States. -Amit
[edit] Nuggets-Knicks brawl
Something to add. -Amit
Added the Nuggets-Knicks brawl. 65.95.61.236 20:23, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I removed some unnecessary references and added some of the actual criticism levied at the league.Phillip J. Fry 22:37, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, as this page is more about the criticisms of the league as a whole and not of particular players/coaches, I removed the majority of links regarding criticism of Isiah Thomas. Phillip J. Fry 23:07, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Age Limit busts
I don't think Darius Miles and Robert Swift should be used as examples of busts. Miles has had a solid career so far, albeit, with bad teams, but he has still produced. Robert Swift has just begun his NBA career and if he wouldn't have torn his ACL in the pre-season, he would be the starting center for the Sonics. Two real good examples would be James Lang and Nnudi Edi. Two guys who could have developed if they went to college, but they entered the draft out of high school and failed miserably. Didn't play in a single NBA game.
[edit] Game 6 of 1998 Finals
I didn't realize I wasn't logged in when I added/edited this section. Somebody else can edit it for POV, I suppose, but this game is among the most notorious conspiracy theory magnets in the past decade (and possibly the earliest), and I could not believe that it was omitted from the section.MahlerFan 17:09, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 2007 Suns-Spurs series
Anybody want to add something about the series (Horry's elbow leading to the suspensions, Donaghy being a ref in Game 2). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.249.82 (talk) 04:18, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Artestpunchoffaninbrawl.PNG
Image:Artestpunchoffaninbrawl.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] why is conspiracy theories section gone?
this section should be there because many people believe that the nba may force game results and trades(Kevin Garnett etc.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yomamma22 (talk • contribs) 02:01, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
