National Video Center

The National Video Center was a Video Production house in New York City.

This company went out of business in June, 2002.

This video production house supplied production and post-production video, production and post production audio and graphics.

It was located at 460 West 42nd Street in New York City.

The company was known for the studio shots for the movie Tootsie starring Dustin Hoffamn which came out in 1982.

Its post production editing rooms handled everything from car commercials to Presidential candidate spots. The production studio worked with clients such as MTV, PBS, CBS, NBC and USA Network.

In addition to the 42nd street location, they had other locations in Boston, Atlanta and Connecticut. There was also another audio studio in New York City, The Edison. The building on 42nd Street consisted of four floors.

On the 4th floor was New York 1: a 24 hour news cable channel.
