National Star Certification Exam

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Star Certification Exam is an exam taken by Royal Canadian Army Cadets after completing the four initial star levels of the Cadet Program (Green, Red, Silver, Gold.)

The test is divided into two phases, aptly called Phase 1 and Phase 2. The first phase is divided into two parts: a General Knowledge Exam, (GKE) and the Army Cadet Fitness Test (ACFT). The GKE is an exam that combines all aspects of the academic part of army cadet training. The ACFT is optional in this phase, but is encouraged, as the participating cadet will not need to complete the ACFT in phase 2 if successful.

Phase 2 consists of several parts: A drill mutual, and a classroom mutual, Also included is a map and compass portion and a knots test.
