National Science Advisor (Canada)

Dr. Arthur Carty officially started in the role of National Science Advisor to the Prime Minister on April 1, 2004. The advisor heads the Office of the National Science Advisor (ONSA), within Industry Canada. Dr. Carty was previously the President of the National Research Council. When Dr. Carty retires on March 31, 2008, the position will be eliminated; there will be no more National Science Advisors.[1]
