The National Salvation Party (Milli Selâmet Partisi) was a political party in Turkey founded on 11 October 1972 as the successor of the banned National Order Party (Milli Nizam Partisi, MNP). Led by Necmettin Erbakan it was successful winning 11.8 percent of the vote in its first year running. The party grew more popular winning seats in the Turkish Grand National Assembly until its closure in 1980.
