The National Prosecuting Authority Act (No. 32 of 1998) is an act of government passed by the Parliament of South Africa in 1998. It addressed a constitutional provision that detailed the creation of a new prosecutiral system for South Africa. The act created the first centralised national prosecution authority. which is headed by a national director of public prosecutions.
