National Library of Myanmar

The National Library of Myanmar is the national library of Burma (also known as Myanmar) [1]. It is located in the former capital of Yangon.
Established in 1952 it is currently run by U Kyaw Oo and employs a staff of 213 with an assigned 60 librarians to supervise the running of the library.
The aim of the library is to contain all books and publications published within the country and also books about the country written abroad to history, culture, literature, and the social sciences and so on, and to collect valuable ancient Burmese manuscripts available for researchers of the country.[2]
