National Highway No. 4 is a freeway, which begins in Cingshuei, Taichung on the Provincial Highway No. 17. and ends in Fongyuan City on the Provincial Highway No. 3.

Completed in November, 2001.
There is a plan to extend the route from Fongyuan End south to Sinshe, Taichung, Dakeng (in Taichung City), and Taiping City. It will connect to National Highway No. 3 in Wufong, Taichung.
