National Highway 13 (India)

National Highway 13 ( NH-13) starts at Solapur and ends at Mangaluru.It travels through two Indian states of Karnataka and Maharastra. The original NH-13 was starting from Sholapur and ending at Chitradurga joining NH-4. Recently National Highway has been extended up to Mangalore ,joining NH-48 and NH-17. National highway 13 passes through towns of Bijapur, Basavana Bagewadi, Hospet and Shivamogga.The highway traverse through all geographical regions of Karnataka namely Bayaluseemae, Malenadu and Karavali.
Though road is proclaimed as national highway, the road is narrow at many stretches causing frequent mishaps.
