National Herbarium Islamabad

National Herbarium Islamabad Pakistan is the biggest herbarium in the country and it is located in the capital city Islamabad. It was established in 1975. Dr. Ralph Randles Stewart's collection was its initial beginning. At present it has a collection of over 100000 plants. The plants in the herbarium are divided in to Dicotyledons and Monocotyledons, Gymnosperms and ferns and they are placed according to families, genera and species arranged in alphabetical order.
